$116 worth for just 74 CENTS!!!!!!!!!!

OK... so last week's "payment" of $8 from Publix to buy groceries was a bit of a cheat... since I returned $19 worth of contact cleanser to start.. but this week, no returns and I STILL almost made a profit! HOW??

Well, I had a coupon for a free $25 gift card to Publix when you bring in a new prescription. And it just so happened that Nathan needs amoxicillin for an ear infection - we had just come from the doctor's. So I got to take advantage of that. But here's the kicker... I'm still excited about it:

Turns out, Publix has a program where they offer 8 different antibiotics for FREE. That's right, regardless of your prescription plan, they're FREE. So they PAID me $25 to get his medicine! That would have COST me $8 at the drugstore!

Then there's the groceries... I got all that you see below... $108+ worth for $25.74!!

How?? Unfortunately, again, I dont have time to cut and paste all the coupon links. But got all the links from Southern Savers and Fiddledeedee. Click on their names to go directly to their Publix post with coupon links to these deals and tons of others. I used 2 different computers to print multiples of some coupons since most have a 2 print limit per computer. But the Mueller's coupon?? NO print limit - so go stock up on some 14 CENT pasta!

Here's the run down of what I paid...

* 8 Uncle Bens Rice boxes for $2
* 13 Muellers Whole Wheat Spaghetti boxes for $1.82
* 4 Country Crock butter tubs for FREE
* 8 Simply Cookie Doughs for $3 (1st 4 were FREE)
* 4 Muir Glen Tomato Sauces for and OVERAGE of $.44
* 2 Pillsbury Sweet Rolls for $2.18
* 4 Perdue Chicken Nuggets for $4.78
* 2 Alls for $3.98
* And the Milk & Water were without coupons/sales

So after the gift card, I paid $.74 for all of that!!!
Now go have fun saving BIG this week at Publix, too!

Publix Paid Me $8!!

It's been forever since I posted on this blog... I've been trying to keep up with couponing in the midst of our insane life, but haven't really had anything to brag about - though I usually still save at least 30%. But today... I'm feeling like I'm getting back in the game now!

Here's what I got for $11 and change! $51 worth of groceries! And in the end, I left with $8 in my pocket more than I walked in with!

I don't have time to post links to all the coupons. So check out these ladies: Coupon Game, Fiddledeedee, and Southern Savers for all the direct links you need! But I'll give you an idea of how I saved!

4 Boxes of Kelloggs Mini Wheats - on sale for $1.99. There's a coupon for $1.50 off 2, and a Publix coupon for a free gallon of milk wyb 3 Kelloggs products.

4 boxes of Fiber One Yogurt - on sale, B1G1 for $2.50. There are 2 coupons out there - 1 for $1.25 and one for $1. You can print each twice. So I paid $.50 for 4 boxes.

2 boxes of Au Gratin Potatoes - on sale, B1G1 for $1.75. There's a $.40 coupon, that Publix will double. You can print it twice. So I paid $.15 for 2 boxes!

2 Pouches of Starfish Tuna - They're $1.39 each, I had 2 coupons for $.50, which Publix doubled. So I paid $.78 for 2.

2 Pouches of Bumble Bee Tuna - They're $.99 each. I had 2 $1 coupons. So I paid NOTHING, actually, I made $.02. Supposedly you can print that coupon 10 times... I need more ink before I try.

Other Deals - one gallon of milk was free (for buying 3 Kelloggs), the other gallon I had a $1/dairy coupon from the Baby Club. I had another $1/produce from that Baby Club. Musselman's is on sale for 2/$2.79. And then I used a $5/$25 coupon that came in the mail for Publix (neither the East or West sides accept drugstore coupons anymore... East wont even take Target!).

So all total... $51 worth for $11 and change.

But there's more. I had pregnancy brain 2 weeks ago, when Renu was on sale. I bought 4 bottles for $4.49 each. I had 4 $2 off coupons. That was a great deal for my contact wearing hubby! I got 4 for under $10! Well... I got home and it dawned on me... Jacob stopped wearing contacts!!! Now I have 4 bottles for nothing... So I returned them today. Since there was no way to know I'd used $8 worth of coupons - and Publix has probably already cashed those into Smart Source, I got back $19 and change instead of what I'd paid!

So I was paid $19... I paid $11 for groceries... So in a sense, I MADE $8! :)

Happy Publixing!
