Teams of 4 will compete in a challenging but fun 5k run with multiple obstacles winding through woods and fields, over walls, and in and out of mud pits. Your support benefits the Glenn Springs Academy, a home for at-risk boys can recapture their childhood.
The Academy is located on the southside of Spartanburg in a small community known as Glenn Springs. The mission is simple, but large – to help these boys successfully overcome a tragic past of abuse and neglect. Over 25 boys call Glenn Springs Academy their home – a home that provides not only food and shelter but also a safe, stable, and structured life. A home that accelerates personal, social and academic well-being, and provides life skills for the future.

Registration is open through Tuesday, October 16th.
1) Choose to run as a team of four or as an individual.
Individual runners will start the race first, followed by groups of team runners. All participants must be at least 12 years old – under age 18 must have a guardian sign waiver.
2) Pick a team name (if applicable).
The more creative, the better!
3) Register online now.
At the time you register you will need to pay the registration dues of $160 (team) or $45 (individual) in full (plus processing fees). And register soon! Because registration fees increase to $190 (team) and $50 (individual) beginning October 10th. All money raised goes to support the mission of Glenn Springs Academy.
4) Mark your calendar.
October 20, 2012 – USC Upstate campus. First race starts at 10:30am with individuals going off first, followed by groups of teams starting around 11:30am. Your specific start time will be posted on the website prior to the race and available at packet pick up. The packet pick up, including race details, parking information t-shirts and more, will be available on Friday, October 19th, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, or the morning of the race starting at 8:00am. Participants will need to arrive an hour and a half prior to their start time. For additional questions, please review our frequently asked questions.
